I have heard this sooooo many times its becoming almost predictable with clients.
Regrettably, we currently reside in an era where integrity and honoring commitments are uncommon traits among our community members.
Here are a few tips and tricks that I recommend to my customers, family, and friends when it comes to hiring the right handyman or contractor, not just in Florida but everywhere.
Tip number one:
Do they obtain a state license and are they insured; most of the companies that I hear are ripping people off are missing At least one of the following.
I think the reason why this may be is because it takes a little too much effort, time and money then these people want to spend.
So if you probe the handyman/contractor and ask them to send you their license and insurance its a very good first hurdle that a professional should be able to pass.
Tip Number 2.
Make sure they have a google business profile.
The reason this is so important is because it allows past customers of theirs to leave reviews. And if someone is cutting corners or ripping people off or lacking in communication their reviews on their google page will most likely say so. So with this one you're looking for the social proof that other customers have had a good experience.
And if you're wondering how many reviews they should have; id say at least 10 reviews.
Tip number 3.
When you call them are they hard to reach.
This should definitely be a tale tell. If they are hard to reach or take a very long time to return your calls or texts then I would stay away. Of course we want to give the benefit of the doubt but if you find that it keeps happening then go and find someone else to do the job.
Conclusion
Whether its redeemed renovations or someone else i highly encourage that you follows these three guidelines and you will definitely have a better go at finding the best handyman or contractor
